Teen Account Parent / Guardian Consent Addendum
Not currently offered. Athlon accounts are currently available only to users who are 18 years of age or older. Minor accounts are not offered at this time. This Addendum describes the terms that would apply if and when Athlon permits accounts for users age 13 through 17. Athlon will update its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before offering minor accounts.
This Teen Account Parent / Guardian Consent Addendum ("Guardian Addendum") applies when Athlon permits a user who is age 13 through 17 (a "Teen User") to access or use certain Services.
By agreeing to this Guardian Addendum, you represent and warrant that you are the Teen User's parent or legal guardian and that you have authority to consent to the Teen User's use of the Services.
A. Contracting party and supervision
Unless applicable law or partner terms require a different structure, you agree that:
- you are the contracting party for the Teen User's account;
- the Teen User is a permitted user of the account subject to Athlon's rules and your permissions;
- you are responsible for supervising the Teen User's use of the Services;
- and you are responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for consents, linked accounts, payment methods, cards, transfers, fees, and account activity associated with the Teen User account.
If applicable law or partner terms require a different account-holder, authorized-user, consent, access, or withdrawal structure for a specific feature, those terms control for that feature.
B. Permissions and controls
Athlon may allow you to set or control permissions, features, spending limits, linked accounts, payment access, notifications, or visibility settings for a Teen User.
Athlon may also limit certain features for Teen Users based on age, partner rules, legal requirements, or product design.
C. Collection and sharing of Teen User information
You consent to Athlon's collection, use, disclosure, and retention of the Teen User's personal information as described in Athlon's Privacy Policy and any applicable feature-specific disclosures.
Athlon will verify your identity and your relationship to the Teen User before a Teen User account is activated. Athlon will describe the verification method in effect at the time a Teen User account is offered.
D. Communications
You agree that Athlon may send electronic communications relating to the Teen User account to you, the Teen User, or both, depending on the feature, the account settings, and applicable law.
E. Accuracy and authority
You agree to provide accurate and current information about yourself and the Teen User, including contact details, age-related information, and any verification materials Athlon or its partners may require.
F. Transition at age 18
When the Teen User reaches age 18, Athlon may require:
- a new account agreement;
- new identity verification;
- updated disclosures and consents;
- transition to an adult account structure;
- or closure or limitation of certain features until the transition is completed.
G. Revocation or closure
You may request closure of a Teen User account by contacting support@athlon.finance, subject to any outstanding obligations, legal retention requirements, dispute investigations, or partner requirements.
Athlon may suspend or terminate a Teen User account if this Guardian Addendum, Athlon's Terms, or applicable program rules are violated, or if Athlon determines the account presents legal, compliance, safety, or operational risk.
